State Police are investigating a shooting that happened last Tuesday night in McAdoo.
According to information released today by State Police in Frackville, this incident occurred at W. Third and N. Manning streets in McAdoo at about 11:30 p.m. on May 16.
A 9-1-1 call alerted police that a male victim, who has only been identified as a 48-year-old non-Hispanic white man, was shot in the stomach in an encounter with 3 men identified only as white Hispanics.
Two of the suspects in this shooting incident wore masks and were “acting suspicious,” police report.
Following the incident, the 3 suspects fled on foot toward W. Grant St.
State Police from the Frackville, Schuylkill Haven, and Hazleton barracks responded to the scene.
The shooting victim was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton and then taken by medical helicopter to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. Police say he’s currently in stable condition.
PSP Troop L’s Major Case squad is leading the ongoing investigation into this incident.
