A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Schuylkill County.
National Weather Service has put the Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 7 p.m. Monday, March 6 through 5 a.m. Tuesday, March 7.
According to the advisory notice, between 2-4 inches of snow is expected to fall on the affected area. Snowfall will be heaviest at higher elevations.
Timing of Snow for March 6-7
After a sunny day Monday, rain will move into the area around 7 p.m. before mixing with and then changing to all snow, NWS says. Snow will fall heaviest between 9 p.m. on Monday and 3 a.m. on Tuesday.
A changeover to all snow will happen at higher elevations first.
Travel during the overnight hours could be challenging.
Union, Montour, Northumberland, and Columbia counties are also included in this Winter Weather Advisory.
