πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Walter Deebel, 88 – Enjoyed Gardening, Travel, the Stock Market

Walter Deebel, 88, of Souderton, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday February 17, 2023.

Born in Ringtown, he was a son of the late William Russell and Elizabeth (Kline) Deebel.

Walter served his country in the U.S. Army.Β  He was employed and Merck & Co. from 1959 until his retirement in 1991 where he had worked as a forklift operator.

Walter was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Telford.Β  In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, tending to his roses, and working around his house.

Walter enjoyed dining out and he and Phyllis were known to enjoy traveling and taking numerous cruises to many different locations. Walter was also well known as a stock market aficionado.

He was the beloved husband of the late Phyllis E. (Maurer) who preceded him in death in 2021

Walter is survived by his brother Donald and his wife Marlene of Sellersville, sisters Carol Thomas of Telford, and Ruth Briggs of Douglasville.

Walter is also survived by many close family members and loving nieces and nephews.

A viewing for family and friends will be held at the Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 West Main Street, Ringtown, on Monday February 27th, from 12 noon until 1 PM, followed by aΒ  gravesideΒ service with military honors which will be held at the Old White Church Cemetery, where Walter will be laid to rest alongside his wife.
