πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Leonard James Rhoads Jr., 74 – Teacher of Students with Special Needs

Leonard J. Rhoads, Jr., 74, of Minersville, passed away Saturday, January 21st, at his home.

Len was born in Philadelphia on February 29, 1948, a son of the late Julia (Bodak) and Leonard James Rhoads, Sr.

He was graduate of Minersville Area High School and Alvernia University.

He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

He spent his career teaching children with special needs for several school districts. Len was a former volunteer Little League Baseball coach. A

Lifetime Member of the Goodwill Fire Co. No.1, Minersville and a member of the Harding Gun Club.

He is survived by a daughter, Jennifer B. Rhoads, wife of Mark Warner, two sons John, husband of Kristi Flannery, Scott, husband of Heather Flannery.

He is also survived by a brother, Gary, husband of Marion Rhoads Also surviving are his grandchildren, Brock & Logan Warner, Devyn, Aidan, Brennan, Colin, & Griffin Flannery, as well as a Nephew Jason Rhoads, and Niece, Abby Rhoads.

A Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 26th, at Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc.104 S. 4th St. Minersville.

A Religious Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home with Reverend Jason F. Stokes officiating.

Interment with Military Honors at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations made to the Special Olympics at specialolympicspaglvpr.org.

Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc., Minersville entrusted with the arrangements.
