The Schuylkill County Commissioners have adopted a public meeting schedule for 2023.
All but two of the meetings remain at a time that’s terribly inconvenient for most residents in Schuylkill County.
However, there are two close-to-prime time meetings planned for 2023. Most meetings are held at 10 a.m. on Wednesdays in the Commissioners board room at Schuylkill County Courthouse.
There are several exceptions, such as the days after Election Days, when the Commissioners typically do not meet, and to accommodate any possible conferences the board members are scheduled to attend out-of-town.
To appear to make themselves more accessible, the Commissioners now meet twice a year at 6 p.m. (still not a very convenient time for many living in Schuylkill County). In 2023, those meetings will be held on March 1 and September 6.
Commissioners do not meet on the 5th Wednesday of any specific month.

Here’s a look at the schedule the Commissioners recently adopted for 2023. All meetings are held at 10 a.m. on Wednesdays, unless otherwise noted. Italicized dates are Work Session meetings, typically when fewer votes are held.
