National Weather Service has issued a Frost Advisory for Schuylkill County on Sunday morning.
The Frost Advisory is in effect from midnight until 9 a.m. Sunday.
Low temperatures in Schuylkill County are expected to bottom out between 33-36 degrees overnight Saturday into Sunday.
Valley areas are most likely to see frost during the Advisory period. In some areas, the temperature could drop below freezing.
A nice warmup is expected during the day on Sunday, with a high temperature of 60 degrees here.
Crops Vulnerable to Frost
Frost is a threat to some late-season vegetable and fruit plants you may be growing. These plants should be covered to protect them from frost:
- Beans
- Cucumbers
- Eggplants
- Cantaloupe/Musk melon
- Peppers
- Pumpkins
- Squash
- Sweet corn
- Tomatoes
