A Shenandoah man is facing child pornography charges following a search of his residence.
According to information from State Police in Frackville, authorities executed a search warrant on 227 E. Centre St. in Shenandoah last Wednesday. That’s the home of 34-year-old Garrison Zarcufsky.
Police were searching the residence following what they call “proactive investigations” into the sharing of child porn on file sharing networks. The investigation was led by State Police Cpl. Anthony Reppert.
During the search conducted by PSP’s Central Computer Crime Task Force, troopers at the Frackville barracks, and Homeland Security Investigations, police took several electronic devices away from Zarcufsky.
Zarcufsky was arrested and arraigned before District Judge Anthony Kilker in Shenandoah. He now faces 20 felony charges of child porn possession and 1 felony of disseminating child porn as well as 1 felony count of criminal use of a communication facility.
Kilker set Zarcufsky’s bail at $100,000 and committed him to Schuylkill County Prison in Pottsville. A preliminary hearing on these charges has been scheduled for March 3.
