Suspected Burglar Enters Through the Roof of Shenandoah Business

Why use a door when there’s a perfectly good roof?

A suspected burglar got in through the roof of a Shenandoah business and made off with money and other items.

According to State Police in Frackville, the alleged robbery happened on New Year’s Day.

It was reported to police at about 8 a.m. at the A to Z Food Mart on N. Main St. in Shenandoah.

Police say that sometime between 7:30-8 a.m., someone came into the store through the roof.

They grabbed money and miscellany and left the store through the back door.

The suspect or suspects fled the scene on foot, traveling north on N. Ferguson St., police believe.

If anyone has information on this suspected burglary, they’re asked to call the State Police Frackville barracks at 570-874-5300.
