Two arrests have been made in connection with the murder of a Pottsville man in Cass Township last week.
According to information from State Police in Frackville, Michael Robert Angelo, of Seltzer, and James W. Fitzpatrick, were taken into custody on Wednesday.
Police say these two men got into a fight with 27-year-old Joseph Fedornak in a wooded area near 22 Ash Rd., Cass Township, at about 6 p.m. on Oct. 21. Witnesses told police they heard a gun shot during the altercation.
When State Police and Minersville PD arrived on the scene, they found Fedornak’s body with a gunshot wound.
Police say they’re charging Angelo and Fitzpatrick with first- and third-degree murder, aggravated assault, and other crimes related to this deadly fight.
Angelo and Fitzpatrick were arraigned before District Judge David Rossi on Wednesday afternoon and sent to Schuylkill County Prison. They were denied bail. They’ll be back in court on Nov. 4 for a preliminary hearing.
