Harold B. Fisher, 78, of Port Carbon, died Thursday, Oct. 7, at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville.
He was born October 7, 1943 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Harold and Marjorie Fisher.
He was a 1961 graduate of Blue Mountain High School
He worked at Behler Patterns Inc, in Deer Lake, from his apprenticeship until his retirement in 2011, as a pattern maker.
Throughout his life Harold was a terrific horseman. In his spare time he rode and cared for horses. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles for most of his life. He was also was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and a highly skilled and specialized wood pattern maker.
Surviving are his daughter, Wendy Fisher Jochems and her husband Troy, Pottsville; a son, Edward Fisher and his wife Elisabeth, Silver Spring, MD; 2 grandchildren Ian and Noah Fisher who loved spending the night and hanging out with their Pop-pop; 3 sisters, Lee Fisher, Carolyn Gabriel, Dina Fisher and a brother, Thomas Biddle. Nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life visitation will be held Saturday from 12-2PM at James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville. The family request that anyone attending is to please wear a mask. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contribution in memory of Harold be made to Hillside SPCA PO Box 233 Pottsville, PA 17901.
