Shawn P. O’Boyle, 52 – Member of Girardville AOH

Shawn P. O’Boyle, 52, of Fountain Springs, Ashland, former Girardville resident, passed away October 6, 2021, surrounded by family, at his residence.

Born in Pottsville, March 22, 1969, he was the son of the late Terrance and Margaret Hennessy O’Boyle.

He attended North Schuylkill High School, Fountain Springs, and was last employed as a truck driver for Universal Forest Products of Gordon.

Shawn was a member of the former St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Girardville, and is now a member of St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Parish, Ashland. He was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Girardville.

Fiancé: Gina Yekenchik with whom he resided, Fountain Springs

Son: Sean W. O’Boyle, Colorado

Sister: Mary Kay O’Boyle Heaton, Girardville

Brother: Terry O’Boyle Jr., Girardville

Nephews: JJ Heaton and his fiancé Ashley Davis, Michael Heaton and his wife Ashley, Justin Heaton and companion Catherine Donkus

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing, Tuesday, October 12, 2021, from 6 PM to 8 PM, in the Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, 1323 Centre St., Ashland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at 10 AM, in the Saint Vincent’s Roman Catholic Worship Center, Second Street, Girardville. Celebrant will be Rev. Brian M. Miller, pastor. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Fountain Springs. Visit www.Fritzfuneralhome.com. The Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, Ashland, is in charge of arrangements.
