Catherine Price, 93, former Mowry resident, passed away Friday, September 24, 2021, at the Broad Mountain Manor Nursing Center, Frackville.
Born in Mowry, October 3, 1927, she was the daughter of the late George and Sadie Minnich. She attended Butler Township Schools, and was employed as a sewing machine operator at the former Locustdale Dress Factory, Locustdale, and the former Reidler Mills, Ashland, until her retirement. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Catherine loved spending time with her family.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Earl Synder, passing in 1985, two sons, Larry and William Snyder, a granddaughter, Shelia Snyder, a great grandson, Brandon Yeager, sisters, Lillian Russin, Grace Toohey, Violet Snyder, and Noreen Stoker, also, brothers, Melvin and Lester Minnich, and James Moyer.
Survivors include a daughter, Diane Yeager, of Gordon; Grandchildren, Great grandchildren, Great Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews.
A funeral service was held Wednesday, September 29 at Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, Ashland. Officiating was Pastor Susan Hocking of the Simpson United Methodist Church, Gordon. Interment at Citizen’s Cemetery, Lavelle. Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, Ashland, was in charge of funeral arrangements.
