A Port Clinton man sustained injuries in a crash along Interstate 81 in Lebanon County Friday evening.
According to State Police in Jonestown, the crash happened at about 5:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-81 in E. Hanover Twp., near Mile Marker 83. That’s where Robert Binner, of Port Clinton, was headed north in a Kia Forte. Behind him was a tractor trailer driven by Sarvan Singh, of Canada.
Police say Binner applied his brakes to slow down and was hit from behind by Singh’s truck. This completely smashed in the rear of Binner’s Kia.
Binner and his passengers were taken to Penn State-Hershey Medical Center. Police do not indicate in their report how many people were in Binner’s vehicle at the time of the crash. At least one was taken to the hospital by Life Lion.
The driving lane of I-81-North was closed for about an hour.
