Blankenhorn Recalled from Syracuse … Again
Blankenhorn has been living out of suitcases this summer, moving from the Mets lineup to the team’s Triple-A franchise in Syracuse several times.
He was recalled from Triple-A on Friday when the Mets placed newly-acquired infielder Javy Baez on the 10-day injured list.
Blankenhorn’s been at Triple-A since July 27. He was promoted to the Mets lineup previously on July 21. Prior to that, he was with the Mets from July 17-19 before getting sent down to Syracuse.
And before that, he was with the Mets from June 25 until July 2. Blankenhorn was first acquired by the Mets back on June 1 when they claimed him off the Seattle Mariners.
Overall this season, Blankenhorn is hitting 4-for-16 (.250) with 1 home run and 4 runs scored.
