After a year off due to the COVID pandemic restrictions, Schuylkill County Fair returns in 2021.

The annual fair is being held from Aug. 2-7 at the Fairgrounds near Summit Station and promises 6 days of food, fun, and entertainment.

“We are elated to welcome our friends and neighbors to the 2021 Schuylkill County Fair after a year of being away from everyone due to the pandemic. We have an exciting week lined up with new and unique food offerings, local and national entertainment on the stages, new family activities throughout the grounds, new classes to the track events and many returning crowd favorites,” Paul Kennedy, president of the Schuylkill County Fair Association says.

Kennedy says this year’s fair will look slightly different from past events. That’s mostly due to maintaining some level of safety precautions. Those include hand sanitizing areas and touchless payments at fair vendors. He says the Schuylkill County Fair organizers learned from other events nationwide and implemented them at the local fair.

“We are confident that we will continue to present the quality fair that our customers expect and deserve,” Kennedy says.

Food vendors will include some of the traditional ones you’d expect at the Schuylkill County Fair – including the return of the Jefferson Grange loaded baked potatoes – but also options for vegans and vegetarians.

Does anyone from North of the Mountain go to the Schuylkill County Fair?

Ask Biden. He might say he drove an 18 wheeler to the fair from Scranton after a hard day doing blue collar work
