COVID vaccine administration in Schuylkill County over the last 7 days (ending May 1) remained about level with the previous week, with nearly 6,000 shots delivered.
To date, about 39% of local adults, 16 years and older, have gotten their full COVID vaccine. According to data from the Pennsylvania Dept. of Health, 41,186 people in Schuylkill County have gotten their full dosage.
We estimate the percentage based on 75% of the county’s population of about 141,000, the approximate number of people 16 and up.
About 52%, or 55,505 Schuylkill County residents have gotten at least one dose of the COVID vaccine.
Statewide, vaccine administration was down slightly week over week in the past 7 days. To date, more than 3.5 million Pennsylvanians have gotten their full COVID vaccine dosage.
