In case you missed it, on Friday Caitlyn Jenner announced her intention to run for Governor of California in the special recall election.
Californians rightly are fed up with hypocrite COVID fearmonger Gavin Newsom and appear very close to removing him from office.
Makes you wish you were a Californian just so you can vote a Governor out of office, right? Sadly, we don’t have that right in Pennsylvania but we can take a big step toward ending the panic part of the pandemic on May 18th.
Caitlyn Jenner Announces Run for California Governor
But, if you think Jenner is just another liberal elitist and wannabe politician, think again. Jenner is a registered Republican and considers herself fiscally conservative and socially liberal.
She’s been very outspoken on the current decline in quality of life for Californians and believes Newsom has more than abused his powers as Governor – much like Tom Wolf here – during the COVID pandemic.

“This isn’t the California we know. This is Gavin Newsom’s California, where he orders us to stay home but goes out to dinner with his lobbyist friends,” Jenner says in her statement announcing her intent to run for Governor.
Trump-Jenner 2024?
Now, we don’t know California politics but we would put our smart money on Jenner winning a recall election.
Even if Jenner were to lose the recall election, people are instinctively going to ask if she’s got bigger aspirations. Like, maybe a running mate for whomever the Republicans pick to run for President in 2024?
At this point, is anything in politics far-fetched?
Could you imagine a Trump-Jenner ticket?
That sounds implausible right now but fences could be mended. Jenner had been a Trump supporter up until the point where the former President announced on Twitter that he was imposing a ban on transgendered people serving in the military.
Jenner vocally expressed her frustrations with Trump’s decision but nothing was said that would lead anyone to believe a reconciliation isn’t possible.
And Trump may not even be the GOP nominee in 2024. There’s still plenty of time for a new candidate to come forward and carry the MAGA movement’s banner, like current Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. He’s definitely rising in the ranks among the MAGA crowd as he gets more vocal toward critics of his handling of the pandemic in Florida.
