Catherine B. Bambrick, 94, of Pottsville, passed away peacefully in her residence on Saturday afternoon surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Pottsville on April 30, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Phillip and Catharine (Minchhoff) Rosenberger.
She was a graduate of Pottsville Catholic High School and Valedictorian of her class.
Catherine was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Pottsville, where she was a lector and Eucharistic Minister.
She volunteered at the Pottsville Soup Kitchen and was involved with the Catholic War Vets and Pottsville Elks.
Catherine worked for the Pennsylvania Power and Light Company for many years.
She was a devoted woman of faith, love, and family. She enjoyed dancing, traveling, gardening, crocheting, and spending time helping others. Her “3 girls” were her pride and joy along with her only grandson, who kept her on her toes. Her great grandchildren were the apple of her eye.

In addition to her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent G. Bambrick, in 1998 and to whom she was married 48 years; son, Patrick V. Bambrick; sisters: Phyllis and Imelda Pfeiffenberger .
She is survived by sisters: Elaine Schutz, of FL and Mary Francis Kirwin, of NJ; brother: Leo Rosenberger, of Port Carbon; grandchildren: Michelle Strausser, wife of Alan, of Port Carbon; Patricia Howell, wife of Jeremy, of Marlin; Brian Bambrick, of Pottsville; and Catharine Hardinger “my Catie”, wife of Dane, of Auburn; great grandchildren: Ashley, Kierstyn, and Gavin Strausser, Morgan and Abegael Howell, Hunter “the mayor” and Hayden “Heidi” Hardinger; several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, March 17th at St. Patrick R.C.C. with Msg. O’Connor officiating.
Interment in Calvary Cemetery will take place at a later date.
The family request contributions in Catherine’s memory be sent to St. Patrick R.C.C., 319 Mahantongo St., Pottsville, PA 17901 for a memorial mass card.
