Julia H. Pitrowski, 90, Minersville, entered into eternal rest Wednesday March 10, 2021 at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg.

Born June 18, 1930 in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Julian and Mary (Zinkiewcz) Nowick.

Julia was a graduate of the former J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah. She was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. In her early years she was active with the Catholic Daughters, Catholic War Vets, AMVETS, and Pottsville Senior Center. She loved to travel and take bus trips to NYC to see plays and Broadway shows.

Julia was the proprietor of the former William Penn Hotel, Pottsville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Anthony J. Pitrowski (1967). She was the last member of her immediate family.

Surviving are her sons Anthony, San Luis Obispo CA and John, Fairfax VA; and daughter Cheryl, Minersville. She is also survived by grandchildren Christine, Anthony, Bianca, Julia, and Sophia; and several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11AM Tuesday, March 16 at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville Rev. Edward O’Connor will be officiating. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 10:30 until the time of Mass. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
