Mary Madalyn Oliva, 103, of Las Vegas, NV, and formerly of Orwigsburg, passed away peacefully in her residence with her daughter and granddaughter by her side.
Born in Pottsville, on May 13, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Dinich) Koval.
She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, Las Vegas and a former member of St. Ambrose R.C. Church, Schuylkill Haven.
Mary worked as a sewing machine operator at Catalina Sportswear, CA., for 35 years. After she retired she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. Mary and her husband were the former owners of the Hilltop Hotel in Orwigsburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis A. Oliva, in 1963; son, Tom Oliva in 2019; and brother, John Koval in 1995.
Mary is survived by a daughter, Elaine A. Oliva Campbell, of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren: Paul Ezra, Patrick, Paula, Zachary, and Megan and 5 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 13th at 10:30 am at Lord-Bixler Funeral Home, Inc., 1818 Mahantongo St., Pottsville. Graveside services will follow at 12 noon in Queen of the Universe Cemetery, St. Clair.
