James Robert King, 77, of Ashland, died on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at home.
He was the husband of Sara (nee Nahf) King to whom he was married 37 years.
Born in Allentown on July 12, 1943, James was the son of the late James S. and Helen (nee OβGorman) King.
A graduate of Marian High School, he attended Stevens Trade School. James served in the Air Force and was employed as an independent truck driver.
He was a former member of Zion Lutheran Church, Tamaqua.
In addition to his wife, Sara, James is survived by daughters, Lori King of Emmaus, PA and Alysia King of the Lehigh Valley, PA; son, James King of the Lehigh Valley; stepdaughter, Leslie Yarnall of Brandonville; stepsons, Douglas Uhrie of Ashland, PA and Clayton Uhrie of McAdoo; grandchildren, Katrina Trine and Ryan Filchner; step grandchildren, Jennifer Yarnall, Andrea Yarnall, and William Yarnall; and sister, Elizabeth Boyer of Tamaqua.
