There’s currently a public debate unfolding in Pottsville over whether the city’s public schools should fully reopen for class.
People are divided over the issue. Apparently, a survey was circulated recently and revealed that many parents were uncomfortable with a return to full, in-person classes 5 days a week. But during the virtual school board meeting last week, many comments suggested it was past time that the schools reopen completely.
And then you have the teachers union that’s largely opposed to the hasty return to full, in-person classes at Pottsville Area right now. Some have said the school should wait until teachers have had a chance to get a COVID vaccine. Others think it’s just too risky right now.
What do you think?
