Dorothy R. Gleason, 90, of West West Terrace, Branch Township, passed away on Wednesday at home.

Born on September 6, 1930 in Minersville, she was the daughter of the late John and Nell Samanis Ryncavage. She was a 1948 graduate of Minersville High School. She was employed in the local garment industry and later worked in the family business at the former Brennan Flower Shop, Minersville.

She was a member of the former St. Francis Church, and a current member of St. Michael the Archangel Church of Holy Family Parish, Minersville. She was also a member of the ILGWU.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Ryncavage, who was killed in action in Korea in August, 1951.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Edward J. Gleason, with whom she would have celebrated 70 years of marriage this May; her daughter, Patrice Taglieri (spouse, Joseph), West West Terrace; her grandson, Douglas Taglieri, Esq., Minersville; her great grand-daughter, Emmalina Joy Taglieri. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Rosemarie Gleason, Wilmington, Delaware.

Visitation will be at Dutcavich Funeral Home, 200 Sunbury Street, Minersville, on Tuesday from 8:00 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. in St. Michael the Archangel Church, 539 Sunbury Street, Minersville. Visitors and attendees are expected to follow CDC guidelines. Weather permitting, interment will be in St. Vincent de Paul #2 Cemetery, Branch Township.
