National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Schuylkill County and other parts of Central and Eastern Pennsylvania ahead of an expected major snowstorm.
The Winter Storm Warning extends from 3 a.m. Sunday until 5 a.m. Tuesday, a total of 50 hours!
Heavy snow is expected from this storm with between 7-12 inches falling on Schuylkill County through the duration of the event.
According to NWS, snow is expected to start falling on Sunday morning. Snow will continue to blanket Schuylkill County through Monday and into Tuesday morning. Snow could be heaviest in the “southeastern portion of central Pennsylvania” on Monday, according to the warning statement from NWS.
