Reda Howard, 91, of Ringtown, passed away Sunday, January 24th, 2021.
Reda was born in Ringtown, on August 27, 1929, a daughter of the late Jennie (Deebel) and William Hinderliter. A lifelong homemaker, she held various jobs in the Ringtown area.
She and her husband Edward were very supportive of the maintaining and equipping of the Northern Valley Ringtown Medical Center building. Reda was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Ringtown, and enjoyed making and selling crafts.
The last member of her immediate family, preceded in death by brothers Earl, Allen and Harold, and sisters Pearl Brown, Edna Zukie, Helen Bickelman and Doris Hancock.
Reda was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward Howard in 2005; a son, Edward William Howard in 1977 and by two grandsons, Shawn Speer and Robert Zimmerman, Jr.
She is survived by four daughters, Linda Carothers, Cynthia Zimmerman, Susan Krumrine and Lorna Bucher.
Reda is also survived by 3 grandchildren: Stacy Whaley, Jenny Bright and Steven Krumrine; great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.
Her family will cherish her memory as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, with her family being very important to her.
Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday, January 28th, 2021 from 10-11 AM at the Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 West Main Street, Ringtown. A funeral service will follow at 11 AM, with her son in law, Rev. Craig Zimmerman officiating. Reda will be laid to rest at the St. John’s Cemetery, following the service.
