National Weather Service has placed Schuylkill County under a Winter Weather Advisory starting early Tuesday morning.
Forecasters say between 1-3 inches of snow is expected in the area, accompanied by some sleet and freezing rain. Snow accumulations are expected to be higher the further north you are.

The local forecast for Pottsville calls for about an inch of snow. Ice accumulations of up to one-tenth of an inch could occur in this storm, too.
The Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 4 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Tuesday.
Light snow is expected at the start of the storm overnight tonight. It will then transition to a light sleet and freezing rain before dissipating by mid-day Tuesday.
The morning commute could be hampered by slippery road conditions in some areas. Untreated roads may be hazardous throughout the day.

- 12a-2p: Light snow, sleet, freezing rain (1 inch possible)
- 2p-5p: Light freezing rain
- 5p-8p: Chance of light snow (little accumulation)
Temperatures through the day and night on Tuesday should remain steady between 30-32 degrees.
Currently, National Weather Service is forecasting a chance of snow showers on Wednesday and Thursday in Pottsville.
