Russell S Wolfe, Sr., 76, of Sunrise Court, Lebanon, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021 at Broad Mountain Health & Rehab Center, Frackville.

Born on March 4, 1944 on his grandparents farm in Swopes Valley, Pine Grove, he was a son of the late Roy and Grace Wolfe Roth.

He attended Pine Grove Area Schools.

Russell was an Army Veteran and served from 1962-1965 with the 101st Airborne Div.

He was a Crane Operator at Bethlehem Steel and then worked for Farmers Pride in Fredericksburg. Most recently he was a truck driver for Pierce Welding and Fabrication, Bethel.

Russell loved being outdoors, cutting grass and tending to his flowers.

Preceding him in death were his wife Nancy L. Fisher Wolfe in 1999; two brothers, Roy Roth and Leonard Roth.

Surviving are two sons, E. Scott and wife Debbie Wolfe of Lancaster, Russell Jr. and wife Robin Wolfe of Myerstown; a daughter Cindy and husband Kevin Bender of Mt. Zion; four grandchildren, Hailey Wolfe, Kyle Allen, Nikki Maldonado and Matthew Wolfe; three great grandchildren, Brian, Lexus and Kole; a brother Ronald β€œRJ” and wife Karen Roth of Lebanon; his companion Beatrice Bordner of Lebanon; aunt, Eva (Polly) Kutz of Tremont; nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services and interment will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 11:30 A.M. at Jacob’s Lutheran Cemetery, 316 Suedberg Rd., Pine Grove with Chaplain Dean Luther and Chaplain Sylvester Grier officiating. There will be a viewing on Friday, January 29, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove following CDC guidelines. Graveside Services will be live streamed from the Funeral Home Facebook page.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the VA Chapel Fund, 1700 S. Lincoln Ave., Lebanon, Pa. 17042 in his memory.
