Joseph F. Rapali, 90, of Pottsville, passed away Tuesday afternoon at the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest.
Born Nov. 14 1930, in Kulpmont, Pa, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Molnar) Rapali, He was the husband of Theresa R. (King) Rapali, the couple were married 65yrs.
Joseph was a graduate of Northeast High School in Philadelphia. He was employed as a draftsman at Ebinger Iron Works, Schuylkill Haven, until his retirement. Joseph was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, achieving the rank of Corporal. Joseph was the voice of “Yoska Baci” for over 25 years on WPAM radio, Pottsville. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, Minersville
In addition to his wife, Joseph is survived by two sisters Eleanor Bergan, Waynesboro, and Ramona Matalonas (wife of Gerald), Taylorsville, two daughters, Regina Rapali, Seltzer and Josanne Devitt (wife of John), Lake Wynonah; a son, Joseph F. Rapali Jr., Minersville; 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Donald J. Butler Funeral Home, 328 Sunbury St., Minersville.
