Robert “Punchy” Leinenbach, 90, of West Centre St., Ashland, passed away January 8, 2021, at his residence.

Born in Ashland, January 5, 1931, he was the son of the late Jacob and Margaret Shivelhood Leinenbach.

He attended the former St. Joseph Catholic School, Ashland, and was employed as a Kettle Operator, making water softener salts, for the Rohm and Hass Company, of Philadelphia, until his retirement.

After his retirement, he returned to Ashland and became active in community service as a volunteer with the Washington Fire Company and an ambulance driver with the Washington Fire Company Community Ambulance.

He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Parish, and the Sarto Council of the Knights of Columbus, both of Ashland.

Surviving is his wife, Donna Rosenfelder Leinenbach, married 54 years.

Relatives and friends will be invited to a memorial service at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Washington Fire Company Community Ambulance, 1309 Centre St., Ashland, PA 17921.
