Pennsylvania’s Liquor Control Board is holding a lottery for the right to buy a bottle of limited-release Pappy Van Winkle whiskeys.
Residents and LCB license holders can enter the lottery until 5 p.m. on Jan. 8. One entry can be submitted for each bottle being made available through this lottery. Winners of the lottery will have the opportunity to buy 1 bottle of the Van Winkle whiskey.

Pappy Van Winkle’s Family Reserve Straight Bourbon 23 Year Old 95.6 Proof 2020 Release
The Pappy Van Winkle 23 sells for $399.99. There are just 18 bottles available to consumers and 5 for LCB license holders.
Pappy Van Winkle’s Family Reserve Straight Bourbon 20 Year Old 90.4 Proof 2020 Release
The LCB is making 54 bottles of this 20-year-old bourbon available to consumers and another 17 for license holders. Each bottle sells for $249.99.
Pappy Van Winkle’s Family Reserve Straight Bourbon 15 Year Old 107 Proof 2020 Release
The 15-year-old bourbon from Pappy Van Winkle sells for $149.99. There will be 134 bottles made available in the LCB lottery. Another 44 bottles will be available for licensees.
Van Winkle Family Reserve Straight Rye Whiskey 13 Year Old 95.6 Proof 2020 Release
If you win the lottery, you can get your hands on this 13-year-old Van Winkle Family Reserve for $159.99. There will be 134 consumer bottles and 44 bottles for LCB license holders made available.
Old Rip Van Winkle Handmade Straight Bourbon 10 Year Old 107 Proof 2020 Release
Bottles of this 10-year-old bourbon sell for $89.99. The state is making 370 bottles of it available for consumers and another 123 for license holders.
Van Winkle Special Reserve Straight Bourbon 12 Year Old 90.4 Proof 2020 Release
The 12-year-old bourbon are available for $99.99 each for lottery winners. The state will pick 741 consumer winners and another 247 LCB licensee winners.
LCB says these whiskeys are something else and “among the most sought after in the world.”
You have to be 21 to win the lottery and must agree not to resell the liquor without a license. Lottery winners will be picked at random by a computer, LCB says. The lottery takes place next week and the state will notify winners by Jan. 29.
