National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Schuylkill County for Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021.
The Winter Weather Advisory goes into effect starting at 8 a.m. and continuing until 11 p.m.
Between 1-3 inches of snow is expected to fall across Schuylkill County on Sunday. But the pesky weather system will start as a period of freezing rain. NWS expects a light glaze of ice to accumulate before the precipitation turns to all snow by early afternoon.
Roads may become difficult to travel and untreated surfaces will be slippery.
Coal Region Canary predicts that people who like to complain about everything on social media will grouse about the following:
- PennDOT not doing enough to clear the roads, and
- People who are out driving around when they shouldn’t be.
