National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Schuylkill County starting at noon Wednesday. The Warning lasts until 10 a.m. Thursday.
This warning is specific to Schuylkill County. It was issued at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.
NWS predicts between 12-18 inches of snow to fall during that time. And snow could fall as rapidly as 2-3 inches per hour at times during the impending storm.
Some locations in Schuylkill County could even top the 18-inch mark.
By the evening commute time, travel may be impossible. That’s when the heaviest of the snow is expected to fall, so Thursday morning’s commute may be just as treacherous.
