You can listen in on all the fun of a Schuylkill County Commissioners work session meeting on Wednesday just by calling in to the County’s Zoom line
On Wednesday, the Commissioners plan to let the County Airport Authority slide on a second loan payment this year. This is money the Airport Authority used several years ago to build a new hangar.
Earlier this year, the Authority asked Commissioners to let a payment on that loan to slide due to some unforeseen financial hardships created by the COVID pandemic. And it seems those tough times haven’t quite gone away enough to pay back on that loan just yet.
In another motion on Wednesday, the Commissioners are expected to put a cleaning job out to bid after getting harangued for a few weeks on no-bid contracts being issued to select companies. This week, the County wants bids submitted for cleaning the 9-1-1 building and the Children & Youth building in downtown Pottsville.
Check out the agenda below for what all is on tap for Wednesday’s meeting.
