A Berks County woman was arrested late last week for allegedly threatening on social media to kill Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf.
According to information from PA State Police in Reading, they arrested 30-year-old Jessica Liptak, of Muhlenberg Township, on Oct. 9 for posting a threat against Wolf on Snapchat.
Police say Liptak drafted a post on Snapchat and later posted a comment on the same site.
The full text of the message was not released by police. However, they say Liptak said she was going to “take down” the state capital this coming week. She also threatened to kill Wolf herself.
Court records show that Liptak was scheduled to be arraigned before District Judge Kyley Scott on this past Friday evening. And she’ll be in court again, before District Judge Dean Patton on Oct. 19 at 1:30 p.m.
She’s facing misdemeanor charges of terroristic threats and harassment.
