Minersville Area’s football season is set for kickoff on Sunday at 2 p.m. in a rare clash with Pottsville Area.
But with restrictions on fan attendance still in place, the team’s fans won’t get a chance to see many of the games this year. That is, unless, the team’s official channel on YouTube reaches 1,000 subscribers.
Due to YouTube’s ever changing rules on live streaming permissions, the owners of the Minersville Football Archive account on YouTube were told they couldn’t live stream anything unless it reached the 1,000 subscriber milestone.
We have eclipsed 900 subscribers! We have one day to go, can we find another 100 in 24 hours? https://t.co/1R7c0rH7x3

As of writing this post, the account was at 924 subscribers. That’s really close but unfortunately, no cigar.
If you’re not so hot at math, it means the team is 76 subscribers shy of its 1,000 goal.
So, if you’ve got a YouTube account, head over there real quick and hit the big red button to subscribe to the channel.

Even if you’re not a Minersville fan or alum, you might find some of the content pretty interesting. In addition to recent game videos, you can also find gems like this highlight reel from the 1957-58 Cass Township High School football team.
