An Easton man was arrested early Saturday morning after causing quite the disturbance in Delano Township.
State Police in Frackville say they were dispatched to Delano Township just before 4 a.m. when a woman said her boyfriend was causing a disturbance along Lakeside Avenue there.
When police arrived, they learned it was far too early in the morning/late at night for the kind of crap 39-year-old Jonathan Fischer, of Easton, was pulling.
Easton Man Arrested After Swinging Pipes Kicking Police on Delano Street
As troopers pulled up to the scene, they could see Fischer “swinging pipes in a menacing manner” in the middle of Lakeside Ave.
Fischer wasn’t having any of the police presence either. He told the troopers responding that he would attack them with his swinging pipes.
Police told him, paraphrasing here … “Drop the pipes!”
Fischer didn’t drop the pipes and police tried cuffing him. He tried swinging the pipes and hitting police but only got in a few kicks.
Eventually, police were able to get Fischer into custody. They probably knew this upon arrival – what with seeing a man swinging pipes in the middle of the street and all – but determined Fischer was high on something.
Police took him to Lehigh Valley Hospital in Pottsville for medical treatment.
Charges haven’t been filed in District Court as of filing this report.
