Earlier this week, the PIAA announced that it’s moving forward with plans to start the Fall sports season on schedule.
The announcement came as schools in Pennsylvania are still trying to figure out how they’re going to conduct classes for the upcoming 2020-2021 term.
There had been rumors that PIAA would announce it was cancelling Fall sports but those proved to be untrue.
Officially, Fall sports practices start on Aug. 17. Heat acclimatization practices for football start a week prior to that.
The PIAA hosts the following Fall sports in Pennsylvania:
- Cross country
- Field hockey
- Football
- Golf
- Soccer
- Girls’ tennis
- Girls’ volleyball
- Water polo
