Dennis Charles Timony, 77 – Avid CB Radio Operator

Dennis Charles Timony, 77, of Tamaqua, died on Wednesday, April 1, in Salisbury Township.

Born in Hackensack, NJ on December 4, 1942, he was a son of the late Peter and Mildred (nee Henrich) Timony.

A 1961 graduate of Ridgewood High School, Ridgewood, NJ, Dennis worked for the former Morgan Knitting Mill, Hometown and the Altadis U.S.A. Cigar factory in McAdoo.

He was an avid CB radio operator and when not doing that was a handyman who tried to fix anything and everything including electronics. Dennis kept on top of current events and every year faithfully watched the dog show. He was of the Catholic faith.

Dennis is survived by his daughter, Lacey Timony of Tamaqua; brothers, Bill Timony and his wife Lynn of Park Ridge, NJ, Danny Timony and his wife Tracey of Forked River, NJ, and Barry Timony and his wife Laura of Forked River, NJ; sister, Bonnie Timony of Jim Thorpe; and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by brothers, Peter Timony and Brian Timony.

Memorials in Dennis’s name may be made to the Tamaqua Arts Center, 125 Pine Street, Tamaqua, PA 18252. In accordance with the governor’s guidelines concerning the COVID-19 pandemic, a memorial service will be held at a future date.
