A man suspected of overdosing on drugs at Tuscarora State Park needed to be restrained by State Police recently.
According to the PSP Frackville barracks, they were called to Tuscarora Park around 2 p.m. on March 11. That’s where Tamaqua EMS struggled to restrain a man who previously lay unresponsive. EMS suspected the man was overdosing.
As they tried to help, the suspected OD patient got combative. That’s when they requested help.
When State Police finally identified the man, they determined he was wanted on a state parole warrant. Police took him to Lehigh Valley Hospital-East for treatment. A parole agent then took custody of the man.
Authorities have not identified the suspect in this case.
