A 12-year-old boy from Pine Grove was struck by a vehicle along Route 443 in Pine Grove Township near Suedberg on Sunday afternoon.
According to State Police at Schuylkill Haven, the boy was transported to Hershey Medical Center with what they’re calling a “serious bodily injury.”

The crash occurred at 12:18 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Route 443 (aka Suedberg Rd.) and Old Forge Rd.
Police say the boy was on a bike and riding through the intersection, across the two-lane highway. The boy reportedly failed to yield at the stop sign and was struck by a motorist traveling east on Route 443.
There are no charges pending against the driver, according to information from State Police, and they were uninjured. They were wearing their seat belt at the time of the crash.
The vehicle was towed from the scene.
State Police were helped at the scene by Pine Grove Fire Dept., Schuylkill County paramedics and EMS, as well as local Fire Police.
