A Schuylkill County man is in prison after smashing vehicle windows with a pick axe and pointing a compound bow at two people during an incident in Tremont Township Sunday afternoon.
Compound Bow, Pick Ax Used in Threatening Incident
State Police at Schuylkill Haven say Darryl Shadle, 33 of Pine Grove, went to a residence at 95 Molleystown Rd. in Tremont Township just after 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
When he arrived, Shadle used a pick axe to smash 3 windows on a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Police say Shadle then “acquired” a compound bow and pointed at two people at this residence, Darryl Shadle, 55, and Tina Cole, 45.
The younger Shadle allegedly pointed the bow at the two victims twice during this incident. After that, he fled the scene and police were able to locate him in a wooded area nearby.
Shadle was arraigned on terrorist threats charges before District Judge David Rossi. He couldn’t post $50,000 straight cash bail and sent to Schuylkill County prison.
