Winter Weather Advisory – Schuylkill County on February 7, 2020

NWS says Schuylkill County could receive up to 2 inches of snow from late morning through the early afternoon hours. As temperatures drop, overnight rain will turn to snow.

Local forecaster Ryan Fannock believes areas in northern Schuylkill County are more likely to see that snowfall on Friday. Areas south of Pottsville could see more rain. However, he says the forecast for this particular storm is difficult to call.

The National Weather Service says snowfall during the advisory period could be heavy at times. A brief burst of snow could produce snowfall rates of an inch per hour.

Driving could become hazardous during the early part of the day, depending on the amount of snow falling in your neighborhood.

National Weather Service also placed Schuylkill County in a Wind Advisory for Friday.
