Edward J. Melusky Jr., 86, former Ashland resident, passed away Tuesday, January 28, at the Shenandoah Manor Nursing Center.
Born in Shaft, he was the son of the late Edward and Margaret Fulda Melusky Sr.
He attended the former West Mahanoy Township High School, and later served in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. H.R. Dickson during the end of the Korean Conflict.
Ed worker for the Borough of Shenandoah as a truck driver until his retirement.
Surviving is a brother, Jerome Melusky, of Beaver Meadows.
Private interment with Navy honors will be held at a later date at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
The Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, Ashland, is in charge of arrangements.
