In the Money
Before we take a look at tonight’s lineup, let’s take a look at our last game, which happened to be our first. We started playing on January 23 and we’ve got one game under our belt. But we are 1-for-1 as far as picking winning lineups.
If we’d picked Lillard over Doncic in that fantastic showdown, we’d probably have done a little better, but our Kyle Kuzma pick was a bit of a dud. You can see that everyone else we picked had a pretty good night last week. Overall, we scored 334.7 points on the night and got a winning spot in each game we played.
We put in a small fortune with 70 cents to start the competition. However, we did come out on top for the night on Jan. 23. And that was worth $1.15 in winnings. That brings our season jackpot coming into tonight to +$0.45.
FanDuel Games We’re Playing Tonight
We’re going to ride the wave here and go in for a little more tonight. But remember, we’ll always be small stakes in the hope of winning a big jackpot with a great lineup. If you’ve got a different money strategy … well, that’s your money.
Here’s what we’re entering tonight’s NBA daily fantasy lineup in on January 28:
- $27K Tue NBA Fadeaway (Only $0.25 to Enter)
- $50 NBA Small Fadeaway (Everyone Gets Paid)
- $13K Tue NBA Piggy Bank Shot (150 Entries Max)
We didn’t invest in anything more than 25 cents to enter. The Canary isn’t looking to make a career out of Fantasy NBA, just playing along.
Tonight, we invested $1.90 in our lineup. So, that currently brings our season jackpot total to (-$1.45).

Here’s a look at our lineup for tonight.
We’ve really got our eyes on the Pelicans at Cavs game. Feels like that’s a game filled with guys looking to stuff stat lines in order to get traded to a contender. At the same time, New Orleans is re-energized by the debut of Zion Williamson.
Breakdown
Why we’ve got these players in our NBA daily fantasy lineup today:
Ben Simmons, PG
Been on a tear lately with the absence of Embiid from the Sixers lineup. Opportunity for a huge stat line tonight against the Warriors.
Collin Sexton, PG
Should have put him in the lineup on Jan. 23. Hopefully he doesn’t burn us by turning in a clunker tonight against the Pelicans.
Kevin Huerter, SG
Atlanta isn’t as bad as its record and has a lot of reasons to be excited about a future if they can afford to keep players. Huerter is one of those players.
Josh Hart, SG
Could be a trade piece for the Pelicans. Hart is playing at his best right now.
Giannis Antetokounmpo, SF
Bucks hosting the Wizards tonight. Doubtful the Wizards packed a defense for the road trip.
Matisse Thybulle, SF
Sixers rookie is making the most of the minutes given up by Embiid’s absence. Thybulle does a little bit of a lot out there.
Kristaps Porzingis, PF
Porzingis starting to produce more for the Mavs.
Larry Nance, PF
Cavs frontcourt should shine against the Pelicans tonight
Tristan Thompson, C
