Winter Storm Finley, as some call it, probably isn’t worth getting all worked up about in Schuylkill County.
The wintry storm that’s caused all sorts of problems across the Midwest should get to Schuylkill County on Monday. However, we shouldn’t expect much in the way of nasty weather from the storm called Winter Storm Finley.

Winter Storm Finley – Schuylkill County
In general, we should expect about 1-2″ of snow from this storm system in Schuylkill County.
Higher accumulation totals can be seen but still likely less than 2″.
Some ice could accumulate, too.
On Monday, National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Schuylkill County. The Advisory lasts from 5 p.m. Monday until 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Accuweather Says 1-3″, But More Like 1″
Snow should move into the area in the early afternoon. However, some early snow showers could start by about 7 a.m., according to Accuweather’s hourly forecast.

The Weather Channel Says Look Out for Sleet and Freezing Rain Into Tuesday
This big storm system will lumber across the coal region into Tuesday. That’s when The Weather Channel says sleet and freezing rain persist over Schuylkill County.
Still, this storm may be a slight disruption but nothing major. The heaviest precipitation should fall in extreme northern Pennsylvania and southern New York.

WNEP Predicts Light Snow, Some Ice, Mostly Rain
You might not see any snow through tomorrow evening, if WNEP is correct.
On Sunday, the station says Winter Storm Finley could bring about an inch of snow to Schuylkill County through Tuesday.
Meteorologist Ally Gallo says frozen precip should move over Schuylkill County around 10:30 Monday night. However, it should change to plain rain, steady at time, overnight Monday into Tuesday.
This likely won’t cause many headaches.
Maybe More Snow? Fannock Says So
Local weather forecaster Ryan Fannock issued his storm prediction for Monday and Tuesday.
He’s got about the same timing as WNEP and the others. Not much through the day on Monday and then a light wintry mix moving in to the area by early evening.
Unlike others, he’s got a wintry mix holding on over Schuylkill County for a few hours before the temperatures rise. That’s when plain rain melts away most of what we got the previous 24 hours.
Still, though, Fannock says Schuylkill County could get anywhere between 2-4″ of snow before this system moves out of here Tuesday.
