Orwigsburg police continue their search for a pair of women they believe are responsible for recent debit card thefts in the area.
The department posted this notice on its Facebook page earlier this week.
So far, the only thing they found are some ignorant comments.
Orwigsburg PD Searching for Suspected Debit Card Thieves
Police released several photographs on Monday of the two women they believe took debit cards from the Orwigsburg area. They’re seen on surveillance screen captures from a Walmart in Elizabethville, Dauphin County.
Police say the cards were stolen and then attempted to be used at the Dauphin County Walmart on Sept. 22.
The police say, “The cards were stolen from a vehicle in which the windows were smashed. A second vehicle had a smashed window but nothing of value was stolen. If you recognize either of these individuals, please contact the Orwigsburg Police Department at (570)-366-3101. All calls will remain confidential.”
Here are the images released by Orwigsburg Police Dept.:
Snitches Get Stitches?
Seeing as it’s Thursday, and several days since the original post, it’s hard to believe no one’s come forward with information on either of these women. The pictures are pretty clear.
Thieves Smash Windows, Police Warn to Roll Up Windows
At the same time as the post, Orwigsburg police issued a warning to residents. They write:
“Keep your car locked, windows up, and don’t keep valuable items in plain view.”
Of course, that’s sound advice. But remember, these suspected thieves didn’t really care about “rolled” up windows when they smashed them to steal the bank cards.
The part about keeping valuables out of plain view is good advice though.
