A Schuylkill County man faces a criminal homicide charge following a drunken night of karaoke in Gordon recently.
According to WNEP.com, Michael Grady — the vice-commander of the American Legion Post in Girardville — allegedly shot a close friend, Steven Molina in the neck early Monday morning. The two were among friends starting Sunday night, at Molina’s house in Gordon.
On Sundays, according to reports, the friends would gather to have karaoke nights. On this particular night, Grady says he drank “about a dozen beers” before asking to see Molina’s shotgun.
As Grady handled the gun, it fired and struck Molina.
Following a Butler Township and State Police investigation, Grady was booked on a single charge of criminal homicide, a single charge of aggravated assault, and 3 charges of recklessly endangering another person, according to court documents.
He’s locked up in Schuylkill County Prison without bail. He’ll be back in court on Sept. 4, before District Judge Christina Hale.
