Blue Mountain grad Gavin Bartholomew has been selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the 6th Round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Minnesota used the 202nd overall pick to select the former University of Pittsburgh tight end. Bartholomew was the twelfth tight end drafted through his selection in this year’s draft.
Bartholomew is a 2021 graduate of Blue Mountain High School.
On Saturday, ESPN had him rated as the 9th best remaining tight end prospect available.
In his senior season at Pitt, Bartholomew had 38 catches for 322 yards and 4 touchdowns. He was named to the Honorable Mention All-ACC team and served as a team captain for the Panthers.
Bartholomew played in the post-season Reese’s Senior Bowl and was also named to his second All-ACC Academic Football Team for the second time.
During his 4-year career at Pitt, Bartholomew played in 49 games and racked up 104 catches for 1,248 yards and 11 touchdowns.
