The Olympians and Hurricanes helped usher in a new season of high school football in Schuylkill County with that thriller in Haven.
Meanwhile, up in Shenandoah, they needed extra time to decide the opening week game between the Blue Devils and visiting Morrisville.
According to The Shenandoah Sentinel on the scene, the Blue Devils were stuffed on a two-point conversion play in overtime that would have forced more football.
Instead, Shenandoah Valley comes up short in its opener to the Coal Region Football 2019 season in a 36-34 loss.
