Today, at the Schuylkill County Fair in Summit Station, they’re holding an adult milk chugging contest.
Lunch table bragging rights are on the line, for sure.
But correct us if we’re wrong here … and maybe it’s just bad personal experiences that have us thinking this way … we see a recipe for disaster.
Even if it’s not, the adult milk chugging contest sure sounds like appointment viewing today at the Fair.
Milk Chugging Contest (GIF Story) – What Could Go Wrong ?
So, why are we apprehensive? Well, there’s a bit of precedent here. Adults chugging milk hasn’t gone well in the past.
Even the most confident chugger could have a mishap.
In our heads, we’re thinking, How you doin …
Yeah, you’re a champ.
We can double-fist ’em, said confidently.
Girls looking at us like we’re James Dean or something.
But then we remember how hot it is. The sweat starts dripping down our face. Chugging milk may not have been the best idea …
Something isn’t right about the milk. It’s got a consistency.
We think it went down the wrong tube or something.
Is it the heat or the humidity that’s making us feel this way. Surely, it can’t be the milk … we’re fine.
We’re not fine.
We don’t want to give up on milk, though.
Tuesday’s Schuylkill County Fair Highlights
Outside of the milk chugging contest, Tuesday is another packed day at the Schuylkill County Fair.
They say it’s a day to be a kid again — hence, the chugging contest — and the gates are already open to the public. There’s plenty to eat, see, and do all day but we’re most looking forward to the evening’s activities.
That includes the Lucas Oil East Coast National Tractor Pull. It’s an extra $5 on top of the $5 gate (remember, free parking) but you get to see some real pro tractor pulling. There’s also a Cooking with Schuylkill County Wine contest as well as the band Sapphire taking the main stage with shows at 7 and 9 p.m.
If you can’t make it tonight, be sure to check out the concert lineup for the rest of the week at the 2019 Schuylkill County Fair.
